Full-Time Credit Analyst

We are seeking a qualified Credit Analyst to join our team in Elderton, PA! This position plays an important role in supporting the Bank’s lending function by analyzing financial information, preparing thorough documentation, and ensuring compliance with lending policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across departments.

📝Job Description

  • Receives data on prospective and active borrowing accounts, i.e., financial statements, agency reports, and interview and investigation sheets.
  • Analyzes data and evaluates the short- and long-run prospects of the individual or company.
  • Prepares request for needed financial information from customers; monitors receipt.
  • Performs FSA/USDA reporting, as well as interest assistance requests.
  • May suggest a loan grade after conducting a thorough credit analysis and documentation review.
  • Provides thorough documentation of all financial analysis work, including ratios and other related information.
  • Ensures that all credit analysis activities are conducted in accordance with prescribed lending policy.
  • Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the work place.
  • Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank’s compliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g. Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
  • Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.
  • Communicates with management and staff personnel in order to integrate goals and activities.
  • Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from other Bank personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.
  • Maintains appropriate records and provides assigned reports, i.e. “Top 30” list, FSA Guaranteed Loan Report, etc.

⚡Skills 

  • Strong reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of lending, loan review, and banking regulations, procedures, and operations
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements
  • Proficiency with PC applications and financial software

📌Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study preferred; specialized financial analysis training
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience preferred
