Marketing Specialist

Elderton State Bank is seeking applicants for the position of Marketing Specialist.  Individuals should possess strong communication and creative thinking skills.

A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field preferred and a minimum of three (3) years of equivalent experience in marketing related positions required.

General Duties include:

  1. Performs various duties to support the Bank’s marketing function and to support customer services activities and profitable market penetration as follows:
  2. Oversees the marketing “mix,” i.e., product, price, place, promotion.
  3. Maintains an accurate and current awareness of the marketing programs of competitive financial institutions; identifies current customers and possible opportunities for increased business.
  4. Manages the Bank’s promotional activities and advertising to promote all services and products and favorably project the Bank’s image and goals; monitors results and reevaluates efforts.
  5. Oversees the development, implementation, and presentation of new products to customers and prospective customers.
  6. Coordinates employee relations activities.
  7. Actively participates in community activities in a manner which reflects favorably on the Bank.
  8. Develops and maintains a social media presence for the Bank.

Staff Accountant

We are currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Staff Accountant. Position will work closely with the CFO to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities. Proficient knowledge of asset/liability management, interest rate risk, and budgeting is preferred.

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred and a minimum of three (3) years of equivalent experience in accounting related positions required.

Duties include the following:

  • Oversees accounting systems, e.g., fixed assets, accounts payable, and separate subsidiaries.
  • Assists with financial analysis, feasibility analysis, etc.
  • Assists in management and control of the accounting and financial reporting function of the Bank. Serves in a back-up capacity for regulatory reporting.
  • Prepares adjusting and correcting entries as needed.
  • Prepares various financial reports for the review by management; prepares reports for external groups, e.g., regulators, etc.
  • Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
  • Ensures that the Bank’s general ledger is maintained properly; takes action to correct accounting-related errors or problems with the accuracy of the general ledger.
  • Monitors the purchasing of fixed assets against purchase controls and the annual budget for capital expenditures.
  • Provides assistance with asset/liability management and investment portfolio management functions.
  • Reconciles all correspondent bank accounts.
  • Ensures appropriate funding for cash letter, security purchases, Federal Reserve.
  • May assist with credit analysis of financial statements for commercial customers.
  • Assists with current expected credit loss (CECL) to ensure adequate funding.
  • Makes daily entries and monthly reconciles investment portfolio account.
  • Performs/Reviews in-house reconcilement of DDA accounts and official checks.
  • Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.

Loan Representative

Elderton State Bank is seeking applicants for the position of Loan Representative.  Individuals should possess proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; proficient PC skills; moderate knowledge of loan documentation and loan regulatory requirements.

Performs a variety of duties to support the lending function of which the following are illustrative:

 

  1. Scans notes into computer system; affixes appropriate labels.
  2. Processes all collateral, insurance, and other related documents; ensures any insurance notification are promptly addressed; reviews for proper information and adequate coverages.
  3. Maintains accurate tickler system for UCCs and insurance; updates files at expiration.
  4. Purchases force-placed insurance; bills customer account; communicates status with loan officer.
  5. Types letters, reports, memos, and other correspondence as requested.
  6. Files documents, correspondence, forms, reports, and other related information.
  7. Maintains various department logs.
  8. Researches and responds to customer inquiries of a routine nature.
  9. Orders credit reports, searches, and appraisals as needed.
