Part-Time Teller

We are currently seeking a motivated, customer-service oriented individual to work at our Rural Valley branch. This is a part-time position requiring some evening and Saturday hours.

Responsible for cash handling; accepting deposits, loan payments, and utility payments; balancing cash drawer, etc. Prior experience is a plus. We offer competitive wages and benefits.

Senior Accountant

We are currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Senior Accountant. Position will work closely with the CFO to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities. Proficient knowledge of asset/liability management, interest rate risk, and budgeting is preferred.

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred and a minimum of three (3) years of equivalent experience in accounting related positions required.

Duties include the following:

  • Oversees accounting systems, e.g., fixed assets, accounts payable, and separate subsidiaries.
  • Assists with financial analysis, feasibility analysis, etc.
  • Assists in management and control of the accounting and financial reporting function of the Bank. Serves in a back-up capacity for regulatory reporting.
  • Prepares adjusting and correcting entries as needed.
  • Prepares various financial reports for the review by management; prepares reports for external groups, e.g., regulators, etc.
  • Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
  • Ensures that the Bank’s general ledger is maintained properly; takes action to correct accounting-related errors or problems with the accuracy of the general ledger.
  • Monitors the purchasing of fixed assets against purchase controls and the annual budget for capital expenditures.
  • Provides assistance with asset/liability management and investment portfolio management functions.
  • Reconciles all correspondent bank accounts.
  • Ensures appropriate funding for cash letter, security purchases, Federal Reserve.
  • May assist with credit analysis of financial statements for commercial customers.
  • Assists with current expected credit loss (CECL) to ensure adequate funding.
  • Makes daily entries and monthly reconciles investment portfolio account.
  • Performs/Reviews in-house reconcilement of DDA accounts and official checks.
  • Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
